<cycle>.bp-run-until-time

Synopsis

<cycle>.bp-run-until-time (seconds|count) [unit] [-absolute] [timeout] [timeout-rt]

Description

Run the simulation until the processor has executed the amount of time given by count and unit. If -absolute is specified, the simulation will run until the processor reaches the specified time in the simulation.

The default time unit is seconds (s), but can be specified as one of: s (seconds), ms (milli-seconds), us (micro-seconds), ns (nano-seconds), ps (pico-seconds), m (minutes), or h (hours).

The seconds argument is retained for compatibility as an alternative for count and is interpreted the same way with regards to the value of unit. The unit does not apply to timeout or timeout-rt

If no processor is specified, the currently selected frontend processor is used. If timeout is a positive number, the command will run for at most that many seconds of virtual time.

If timeout-rt is a positive number, the command will run for at most that many seconds of real time.

A time-out will be signaled by throwing a CLI exception, which can be captured using try/except in order to take specific action, or to let it pass unhandled.
